Welcome & Call to Worship
[Psalm 133]
How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!
It is like the precious oil on the head, running down upon the beard.
It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion.
For there the Lord ordained his blessing, life forevermore.
Let us worship the LORD!
Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven (Hymn 478)
Lyte/Goss
Praise, my soul, the King of heaven; to his feet thy tribute bring.
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, evermore his praises sing.
Alleluia, alleluia! Praise the everlasting King.
Praise him for his grace and favor to his people in distress.
Praise him, still the same as ever, slow to chide, and swift to bless.
Alleluia, alleluia! Glorious in his faithfulness.
Fatherlike he tends and spares us; well our feeble frame he knows.
In his hands he gently bears us, rescues us from all our foes.
Alleluia, alleluia! Widely yet his mercy flows.
Angels, help us to adore him; ye behold him face to face.
Sun and moon, bow down before him, dwellers all in time and space.
Alleluia, alleluia! Praise with us the God of grace.
Confession
Merciful God, you are reconciling the world to yourself, and we are your messengers. We want to live as you call us to live, but the scope of your work feels daunting, and we fall short. Forgive us when we strive for worldly rewards or security and plan to focus on your kingdom later. Forgive us when we restrict the expression of your love only to certain people or groups. Give us courage to be honest and open-hearted with each other. Strengthen our faith, so that we may have confidence to face whatever comes our way, knowing that you are with us now and always. Amen.
Silence
As the Deer
Nystrom
As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after Thee.
You alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to worship Thee.
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield; to You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to worship Thee.
Forgiveness in Jesus Christ
Peace
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.
Gloria Patri (Hymn 579)
Greatorex
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
Word without end. Amen, Amen.
Children’s Message
We Give Thee but Thine Own (Hymn 428)
How/Mason and Webb’s Cantica Laudis
We give Thee but Thine own, whate’er the gift may be;
All that we have is Thine alone, a trust, O Lord, from Thee.
To comfort and to bless, to find a balm for woe,
To tend the lonely in distress, is angels’ work below.
The captive to release, to God the lost to bring,
To teach the way of life and peace– it is a Christ-like thing.
And we believe Thy Word, though dim our faith may be;
Whate’er for Thine we do, O Lord, we do it unto Thee.

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
