Welcome & Call to Worship
[Psalm 19]
The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Like a strong man, the sun runs its course with joy; and nothing is hid from its heat.
The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold; sweeter also than honey; in keeping them there is great reward.
Let us worship the LORD!
Great Is Thy Faithfulness (Hymn 276)
Runyan/Chisholm
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. (Refrain)
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! (Refrain)
Confession
God of the heavens, as you have created order for the movement of the earth and the sun, your law offers order and wisdom for our lives. Forgive us when we do not notice or pay attention to the many ways creation speaks of you. Forgive us when we do not listen to your Word made flesh, Jesus our teacher. Help us stay open to wonder, learning, and correction so that we may seek your ways and run our course with joy. Amen.

God, Whose Giving Knows No Ending (Hymn 422)
Edwards/The Sacred Harp
God, whose giving knows no ending, from Your rich and endless store,
Nature’s wonder, Jesus’ wisdom, costly cross, grave’s shattered door:
Gifted by You, we turn to You, offering up ourselves in praise;
Thankful song shall rise forever, gracious donor of our days.
Forgiveness in Jesus Christ
Peace
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.
Gloria Patri (Hymn 579)
Greatorex
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
Word without end. Amen, Amen.
Note: While we normally enjoy a Children’s Message each week,
our young families are all out of town this week.
Be Thou My Vision (Hymn 339)
Irish ballad/Ancient Irish poem
Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Nought be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise,
Thou mine inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my treasure Thou art.
Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

Sermon: Full of Grace and Truth
Rev. Woody Garvin
Response: Amazing Grace
Newton/Virginia Harmony
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see.
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come;
‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’d first begun.
Pastoral Prayer & The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
