Confession
Lord Jesus, even as we sing praises, we are also confronted with our worst impulses. Forgive us for the ways we betray you and cause suffering for others, ourselves, and the world. Forgive us when our praises are only pretense and our commitments crumble under pressure. Thank you for continuing to act in love even when we turn away in disappointment, fear, or anger. Have mercy on us, heal our ways, and lead us to your vision of whole-hearted self-giving. Amen.
