O my God, deliver me. Hear my calling; hear my plea.
When the wicked ones arise, find me sinless in your eyes.
Though I wander in dismay, and you seem so far away,
God, my refuge, send your light.

(Basses) Send your light. My joy, my songs employ to praise your might, Lord, my delight.

(Altos) Be my guide, with the truth you provide,
to your dwelling on high. God above, send your light.

(Tenors) Why, O my soul, are you sorrowing?
Put your hope in the God who, through the night, ever leads you by his holy light.
