Welcome & Call to Worship
[Psalm 130]
Out of the depths we cry to you, O Lord. Hear our voice!
Let your ears be attentive to the voice of our supplications!
We wait for the Lord, our soul waits, and in his word we hope;
Our soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning,
more than those who watch for the morning.
Let us worship the LORD!
Holy God, We Praise Your Name (Hymn 460)
Allgemeines Katholisches Gesanbuch/attr. Franz
Holy God, we praise your name; Lord of all, we bow before you;
All on earth your scepter claim, all in heaven above adore you.
Infinite your vast domain, everlasting is your reign.
Hark, the glad celestial hymn angel choirs above are raising;
Cherubim and seraphim, in unceasing chorus praising,
Fill the heavens with sweet accord: Holy, holy, holy Lord.
All apostles join the strain as your sacred name they hallow;
Prophets swell the glad refrain, and the blessed martyrs follow,
And from morn to set of sun, through the church the song goes on.
Confession
God of life and breath, we yearn for renewal and the redemption of the world. You know the dry and empty places in our hearts and in our communities, but you do not always fix them immediately. When we inhabit the tension of waiting and loss, help us know that you are there to weep with us. Forgive us when we think a situation is beyond your care or power. Give us strength and patience to trust your love. Amen.

O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
Gläser/Wesley
O for a thousand tongues to sing my dear Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of God’s grace!
Jesus, the name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease;
‘Tis music in the sinner’s ears, ‘Tis life, and health, and peace.
Christ speaks, and listening to his voice new life the dead receive;
The mournful waken to rejoice; the poor in heart believe.
Forgiveness in Jesus Christ
Peace
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.
Gloria Patri (Hymn 579)
Greatorex
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
Word without end. Amen, Amen.

Breathe on Me, Breath of God (Hymn 316)
Hatch/Jackson
Breathe on me, Breath of God, fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love, and do what Thou wouldst do.
Breathe on me, Breath of God, until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will, to do and to endure.
Breathe on me, Breath of God, till I am wholly Thine,
Until this earthly part of me glows with Thy fire divine.
Breathe on me, Breath of God, so shall I never die,
But live with Thee the perfect life of Thine eternity.

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
