Welcome & Call to Worship
[Psalm 104]
How many are your deeds, O LORD; all of them you do in wisdom.
The earth is filled with your riches.
Your creatures look to you, to give them their food in its season.
When you open your hand, they are filled with good things.
When you send forth your breath, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
Let us worship the LORD!
Psalm 104: Bless the Lord, My Soul and Being (Hymn 224)
Anderson/Parry
Bless the Lord, my soul and being! Lord my God, you have such might.
Cloaked with honor, grand and glorious, you are clothed with purest light.
Stretching out the heavens like tent cloth, you are chambered on the deep.
Riding on the wings of windstorm, flame and fire your bidding keep.
Lord, you laid the earth’s foundation that it would be always sound.
By the word of your commanding, you set forth each ocean’s bound.
Springs gush forth at your own bidding, giving drink to every field.
Bird and beast and all your creatures in that coolness find thirst healed.
Lord, how great are all your workings, wisdom marks them through and through.
All the earth is your possession, great and small belong to you.
Food you give in each due season, at your hand come all good things.
By your Spirit you create us; Lord, your breath renewal brings.
May your glory reign forever, Lord, rejoice in all you make!
As you look on your creation, mountains smoke, foundations shake.
May these words and thoughts be pleasing, for in you my joy is found.
Bless the Lord, my soul and being! With this song let praise abound.
Confession
Spirit of God, in your wisdom you have created us and called us to be your people. As we hear daily reports of violence and loss, we yearn for your renewal and the redemption of the world. Forgive us when we are overwhelmed. We are in desperate need of you and the mysterious ways you keep showing up. By your purifying fire, transform our life together. Fill us with your peace, that we may work for peace and reconciliation in the world. Amen.
Silence
Breathe on Me, Breath of God (Hymn 316)
Hatch/Jackson
Breathe on me, Breath of God, fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love, and do what Thou wouldst do.
Breathe on me, Breath of God, till I am wholly Thine,
Until this earthly part of me glows with Thy fire divine.
Forgiveness in Jesus Christ
Peace
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.
Gloria Patri (Hymn 579)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, Word without end.
Amen, Amen.

Spirit (Hymn 319)
Manley
Refrain:
Spirit, spirit of gentleness, blow through the wilderness, calling and free,
Spirit, spirit of restlessness, stir me from placidness, Wind, wind on the sea.
You moved on the waters, you call to the deep,
Then you coaxed up the mountains from the valleys of sleep,
And over the eons you called to each thing,
“Awake from your slumbers and rise on your wings.” (Refrain)
You swept through the desert, you stung with the sand,
And you gifted your people with a law and a land,
And when they were blinded with their idols and lies,
Then you spoke through your prophets to open their eyes. (Refrain)
You call from tomorrow, you break ancient schemes,
From the bondage of sorrow the captives dream dreams;
Our women see visions, our men clear their eyes.
With bold new decisions your people arise. (Refrain)
