Welcome & Call to Worship
[Isaiah 65]
Leader: Christ has risen!
Response: He has risen indeed!
God is about to create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered.
God will delight in his people; no more shall the sound of weeping be heard.
Like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and they shall not labor in vain.
Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear, says the LORD.
Let us worship the LORD!
Jesus Christ Is Risen Today (Hymn 123)
Lyra Davidica
Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia! Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia! Suffer to redeem our loss, Alleluia!
Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia! Unto Christ our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia! Sinners to redeem and save, Alleluia!
But the pains which He endured, Alleluia! Our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s king, Alleluia! Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!
Sing we to our God above, Alleluia! Praise eternal as God’s love; Alleluia!
Praise our God, ye heavenly host, Alleluia! Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Alleluia!
Confession
Gracious God, you made the world in beauty for the purpose of love. This Easter morning, we confess that too often, our fears and conflicts with others distort and dampen our love. Give us courage to stay in relationship, especially when it is difficult. Forgive us for failing to trust your love and your resurrection life within us. Help us live into the Easter hope that frees us from the grip of death to embrace you and others, to love one another as Jesus loved us. Amen.
Silence
Alleluia, Alleluia! Give Thanks (Hymn 106)
Fishel
Chorus:
Alleluia, alleluia, give thanks to the risen Lord;
Alleluia, alleluia, give praise to his name.
Jesus is Lord of all the earth; he is the king of creation. (Chorus)
Spread the good news o’er all the earth; Jesus has died and has risen. (Chorus)
Forgiveness in Jesus Christ
Peace
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.
Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Christ Is Risen! Shout Hosanna! (Hymn 104)
Beethoven/Wren
Christ is risen! Shout Hosanna! Celebrate this day of days!
Christ is risen! Hush in wonder: all creation is amazed.
In the desert all surrounding, see a spreading tree has grown.
Healing leaves of grace abounding bring a taste of love unknown.
Christ is risen! Raise your spirits from the caverns of despair.
Walk with gladness in the morning. See what love can do and dare.
Drink the wine of resurrection, not a servant but a friend.
Jesus is our strong companion. Joy and peace shall never end.
Christ is risen! Earth and heaven nevermore shall be the same.
Break the bread of new creation where the world is still in pain.
Tell its grim, demonic chorus: “Christ is risen! Get you gone!”
God the First and Last is with us. Sing Hosanna, everyone!

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Call to Stewardship
Shelly Owen
If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered. O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem. - Psalm 130:3-4, 7
Sending: The Day of Resurrection! (Hymn 118)
Smart/John of Damascus
The day of resurrection! Earth tell it out abroad;
The Passover of gladness, the Passover of God.
From death to life eternal, from this world to the sky,
Our Christ hath brought us over with hymns of victory.
Our hearts be pure from evil, that we may see aright
The Lord in rays eternal of resurrection light;
And, listening to his accents, may hear, so calm and plain,
His own, “All Hail!” and, hearing, may raise the victor strain.
Now let the heavens be joyful, let earth the song begin,
Let the round world keep triumph, and all that is therein;
Let all things seen and unseen their notes of gladness blend,
For Christ the Lord is risen, our joy that hath no end.
