What to Expect

Come as you are!

As you approach our door, friendly faces from our congregation will greet you. You’ll see some people dressed in suits or dresses and others in jeans and T-shirts, while our pastoral staff and choir wear robes.

When you enter the church sanctuary, you'll be given a bulletin that outlines music, readings, prayers and responses so that you can follow the order of the service. No matter what level of church experience you have, you'll be able to feel involved in our worship service. You’ll hear and sing a blend of contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns accompanied by all sorts of instruments; including the organ, guitars and trumpets. Our worship service is led by both ordained pastors and church members. Partway through the service, we’ll stand and “pass the peace,” a moment of shaking hands and sharing the Peace of Christ with one another. This part can take a while, because we’re a connected and enthusiastic group.

Children are definitely welcome. Child care is available for infants through age five in our nursery. A quiet room is also available in our library, just off the Gathering Place at the back of the sanctuary, where a video feed of the worship service can also be found. Children will be invited to gather for a short time at the front of the sanctuary to hear a special interactive children's message during the service.

We observe the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month and we regularly baptize infants and adults.

After the service, everyone is invited to gather for coffee and snacks in our Gathering Place. It's a chance for everyone to connect before heading out to enjoy the rest of their Sunday in the Manito Neighborhood. We hope you’ll join us for worship soon!
